Prof Chris Mutlow, Director of RAL Space, showcases the range of space-related science and technology work undertaken by the space department of the STFC.
Current projects to be discussed include:
- novel laser heterodyne sensors flown as part of European Space Agency – ESAs first small-satellite missions
- observation of recent volcanic eruptions in Tonga
- contributions to the James Webb Space Telescope
- the new National Satellite Test Facility (NSTF)
