Global satellite EO data applications

07 July, 2025

Space4Climate members are continuously creating and improving ways of using Earth Observation (EO) data in climate applications. This Global EO Data Applications resource is a showcase of member-produced satellite climate data applications that demonstrate how satellite climate services are used in key economic and social sectors, such as agriculture, finance, nature and land use, oceans, recovery and peace, urbanisation and energy.

The tools and EO data applications featured in this collection are all UK-conceived with a global reach. Use them as a source of examples, ideas, inspiration and innovation to help you and your organisation address urgent climate challenges and to develop new climate services.

Learn how EO data is being used

These case studies give insights into what is already being done, approaches and solutions that can be shared in different geographical and sectoral settings.

Space4Climate regularly updates the list of use cases to ensure relevance and accuracy of information, which is useful for any next- and end-users who are keen to reach out and learn more about the different applications and EO capabilities in the UK.

If you would like to connect with any of the organisations featured in the database, please email us and quote the slide number at space4climate@reading.ac.uk
