The Space4Climate satellite climate data sources library is a growing list of some of the most relevant global datasets and data sources available. They can be used by individuals and organisations who are looking to integrate Earth Observation climate data in their areas of work.
These lists are intended to capture both open access and commercial Earth Observation data that provides insights into the vast array of climate variables, such as temperature, precipitation, sea levels, GHG emissions, land cover, among others. Most of the data are already available for wider use for the space and non-space sector.
The satellite climate data sources library* is an ongoing initiative by Space4Climate, and new sources will continue to be added.
For examples of satellite climate applications from UK organisations, check out Space4Climate’s Global EO Data Applications library.
*This library is not an endorsement of any particular source of data, Space4Climate recognises that there are other sources that may supplement those listed here. If you wish to add a data source you may have found useful to this list, please reach out to space4climate@reading.ac.uk.
