2026 is off to a flying start with three new members joining Space4Climate to support their growth in the thriving UK satellite data applications community.

AgriTIERRA, Space ConneXions and Asterisk Labs demonstrate the breadth of expertise within Space4Climate – representing agrifood supply chains, Earth Observation data management and supporting data research.

Space4Climate brings together UK industry, policy and academia operating in the supply and applications of satellite Earth Observation data to tackle local, national and global climate challenges and decision-making. Our members range from Government departments to UK-bases of multi-national corporations, SMEs, universities and research institutions.

Insights, connections & opportunities

Since being founded with Government funding in 2014, Space4Climate has broken down the silos of industry, policy and academia to enable effective collaboration at every stage of the climate data from space supply chain, from satellite mission development to climate data applications from societal and economic benefit. Our members benefit from knowledge exchange, insights into cutting-edge science and data sources, direct access to new contacts and potential customers, and to collaborative opportunities.

These are just some of the opportunities that our new members are keen to take advantage of as they grow their operations.

Ruth Wilson, Managing Director, of Space ConneXions Limited, said: “We are delighted to be joining Space4Climate and look forward to contributing to the exploitation of climate data for the benefit of all. Space ConneXions manages projects that draw together teams of experts from academia and industry to support the climate monitoring activities of governmental and international bodies.”

Platform to raise awareness

Mark Jarman, CEO of AgriTIERRA, said: “Joining Space4Climate provides an important platform to raise awareness and to expand collaboration with other members using space-enabled solutions to address global climate challenges. AgriTIERRA builds on deep experience applying Earth Observation and geospatial intelligence across more than 40 countries, originating through work with the UK Catapult ecosystem at the interface of agri-food, environment and climate. Since establishing a base in Colombia four years ago, we have been developing strategic initiatives between the UK and Latin America focused on sustainable supply chains, agri-tech, climate resilience and the bioeconomy, while also enabling start-up growth and market access into this highly important region.”

Alistair Francis, Co-Founder and Partner at Asterisk Labs, added: “We’re really excited to join S4C. Asterisk Labs, a worker-owned research co-operative, is all about using data from space to help people tackle some of the world’s biggest problems, like climate change, in unexpected ways. We do this by looking at problems from an interdisciplinary perspective, so we see the S4C community as a great place to learn from a wide-ranging set of industrial, institutional, and academic viewpoints. Tying together space tech and climate science as S4C is doing is an important and timely goal, and we’re fortunate that the UK is rich with talent in this field.”

Space4Climate is chaired by the UK Space Agency as a non-commercial organisation to support and promote climate data from space and its innovation for services and products for climate decisions and climate action.
