Welcome to the newest members of Space4Climate in our 10th Anniversary year and find out who they are
In our 10th Anniversary year Space4Climate has welcomed 6 new members representing climate action, services and products based on climate data from space in the UK.
They are:
OceanMind – a non-profit organisation that uses a combination of satellites and AI to protect oceans from climate change and harmful and illegal human activity.
Gentian – uses satellite imagery and AI to measure habitat types and biodiversity richness, monitoring the condition and diversity of vegetation and natural/urban habitats as a commercial service.
Treeconomy – provides two main services: to landowners to calculate the ecosystem services their land produces, supporting the development of their nature-based projects and helping them gain a nature-positive income; carbon credits and tracking.
GlobalTrust Ltd – a geospatial data analytics company that uses satellite imagery to provide sustainability insights to companies and organisations, identifying, measuring and monitoring environmental and social parameters and providing independent and reliable insights.
Frontierra – an environmental geospatial consultancy that utilises geospatial data and satellite monitoring to analyse and evaluate nature-related risks, with a specific focus on biodiversity and deforestation.
Green Orbit Digital – specialises in sustainable marketing strategies for the space industry, promoting societal and environmental benefits of space exploration, emphasising responsible practices that minimise harm to the near-space environment.
In the thriving and fast-growing UK space-based climate data community, Space4Climate is a non-commercial membership organisation that brings together academic, industry and policy members. We support the whole value chain of climate data from space from small to multinational UK-based organisations, including Government agencies. Our mission to is promote the use of trusted and reliable Earth Observation for climate and the development of innovative climate platforms and products to address urgent climate issues nationally and internationally, for the benefit of society and the economy.
